WINTER PARK. Francophiles will adore this cozy bistro and its lovely, park side location. Expectedly, the cuisine is top-notch. Devoted to savory meats and flavorful sauces, the restaurant features such dishes as rack of lamb with country mustard or duck breast with a port and dried cherry sauce. Appetizers themselves are a brief foreshadowing of the meal, and pates and soups celebrate the French culinary tradition. Meals are accompanied by salads and bread; desserts are also available. Since the place is small and regulars dine frequently, you'll need to make advance reservations.

WINTER PARK. An intimate bistro set in Hannibal Square, this charming place courts diners with classic, if not unusual, dishes and a handful of inventive choices. Although not everyone adores escargot or frog's legs, most will take pleasure in lamb, venison, or salmon. Entrees generally come with a rich sauce that enhances but doesn't overpower the flavor of the meat; examples include cherries and port wine or cream and vermouth. Taking this idea to its next level are signature plates which feature several different meat selections, each accompanied by a particular sauce. MAGIC KINGDOM ®. Vibrant colors and wrought iron detailing set the scene for this upscale restaurant, which has an exhibition kitchen as its focal point. Specializing in French cuisine, including that from Alsace and Provençe, the restaurant creates entrees such as rack of lamb with black olives, oak-grilled veal tenderloin, roasted monkfish, and braised veal shank. Its seasonal menu makes the most of available produce, a practice that even extends to the dessert offerings. A fabulous wine list represents countries from around the world; if you'd like, selections can be paired with each course of your meal.
